Charles Kraszewski discusses the translation process, and shares his thoughts on Wańkowicz’s military reportage. Melchior Wańkowicz was a renowned journalist and author, who served as a correspondent with the 2nd Polish Corps during the Italian campaign. In „The Battle of Monte Cassino” he details military strategies and events, while also including the personal stories of soldiers of the Polish II Corps.
