W dniach 19-23 września br. odbył się 12 Guntur International Poetry Festival. Wzięły w nim udział dwie członkinie ZPPnO – Bożena Helena Mazur-Nowak i Renata Cygan, a także grupa poetów z Polski: Alicja Kuberska, Agnieszka Jarzębowska, Ryszard Grajek, Agnieszka Jarnicka, Rafal Jarnicki Izabela Zubko, Jerzy Handzlik, Wieslawa Handzlik.
A delegation of Polish poets and a poet from Philippines, led by the eminent Indian poet Dr. L Sr Prasad (and a leading Cardio-Thorasic Surgeon), visited Malaxmi Courtyard for High Tea on 22 Sept’19. Leading Tollywood Director Mr. B. Narsing Rao was also a distinguished guest accompanying the delegation.The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Y. Harish Chandra Prasad, Founder and Chief Mentor of the Malaxmi Group and the Chairman of the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada & Amaravati (CCVA). He explainied the vision (Mind, Body & Soul) and activities of Malaxmi group and CCVA. Paddy apprised the audience of the successive editions of Amaravati Poetic Prism – anthologies and the events. Dr. L Sr Prasad introduced the Polish poets and the poet from Philippines. Their visit was marked by great mutual bonhomie and warmth. The highlight of the pleasant get-together, was a scintillating vocal Carnatic classical music recital by Ranjani Sivakumar and her troupe. The icing on the cake was her rendition of a Polish poem by a Nobel Laureate in pure Carnatic classical style. The delegation of international poets thoroughly enjoyed the ambience of Malaxmi Courtyard and as always, the great and warm hospitality of Mr. Harish Chandra Prasad and Dr. Y. Tejaswini garu. The chamber music and an excellent anchoring by Mr. Kishore of Malaxmi group, further enhanced the mood of the event. Ms. Deepa Balasubramanian, CEO of Malaxmi-Sedibus honoured the musicians.The poets were presented a copy of Amaravati Poetic Prism 2019.
Z okazji festiwalu wydana została antologia poezji „The Vase”. Bożena Helena Mazur-Nowak została wyróżniona nagrodą „Life Achievment Award”.
O festiwalu szeroko pisała lokalna prasa
